Meeting Monsieur Jean-Pierre Foubet at his residence (Chateau Chasse-Spleen). Monsieur Jean-Pierre Foubet shared his opinion his wine in the region which is in Moulis-en-Medoc Bordeaux France.

I met Patrick Tocaciu who was the owner of Patrick winery in Coonawarra in early 2000. He was passionate about Aussie footy and a very good wine maker. He studied at Roseworthy wine college. I still remember he spoke about the making of a Botrytis semillon.

Nick Glaetzer has vision and picked Tasmania as his base of wine making. An intelligent and excellent wine maker, Nick won the Jimmy Watson Memorial Trophy at the Royal Melbourne Wine Show and Gourmet Travellers’ Young Winemaker of the Year Award. He makes very good Pinot Noir and Shiraz. It is not a typo, indeed Shiraz made in Tasmania.

A family dinner with Monsieur et Madame Moueix and Monsieur et Madam Bois at Monsieur Moueix residence in St Emilion Bordeaux, France.

A lovely lunch invited by Monsieur Gilles et Madam Hepeue at Chateau Lamarque in Medoc Bordeaux, France. I was given a short tour of their cellar.

Pinot Noir is getting popular in Australia. Phaedrus Estate is one of my favourite boutique winery in Mornington Peninsula Victoria Australia. I was enjoying a glass with wine maker Ewan Campbell. If you have an opportunity do not miss their Reserve Pinot Noir.
